Simple 7-Point Marketing Plan to Get Focused

Let's say you have a networking event to attend that you are totally dreading. Truly, what networking event have you not tried to get out of? Your conscience always comes through and encourages you otherwise.

After all, you have a passion for your business and you really do want to share it with the world... Just not face to face. Eek!

You begrudgingly get dressed and drag yourself to the event with no goal, no focus and no plan. That needs to change!

Let's put some logic into this uncomfortable task. Let's make this a business practice instead of a social situation by taking the emotion out of the networking process and making it simply part of your marketing plan.

Let's start by clarifying your intentions and the activities you will engage in as part of your ongoing daily and weekly marketing plan to promote yourself and your business.

This plan merely includes growing your relationships through networking. By having a clear picture of what your basic marketing plan looks like and the results you'd like to see with each task, experiencing a successful networking event that really wasn't half bad, should be easy.

Simply, clarify your goals!

Answer the following questions and keep these in front of you daily.

1. Who is your target audience?

2. What is your most wanted response and outcome from your marketing and networking efforts.

3. What benefits will your product/service/opportunity deliver for those who choose to act on it?

4. What benefits will customers receive from using your products/services?

5. What marketing methods will you use to accomplish your goals?

6. How will you continue to grow your contact list?

7. What is your marketing budget for your business (or this specific marketing campaign/event)?

Have a plan that answers these questions and then take action.

This is a great list of questions to complete when you are preparing for a networking event or marketing campaign as well as your overall marketing goals.

I hope this was helpful. Building a business isn't easy and my goal is to help you gain the skills to become a natural.

With gratitude,

Allison
